He Would Rather Fish By Himself
I was minding my own business, enjoying the sunset, when this guy flew down in front of me
He had seen a fish that he wanted, but.....
..but he had not seen me, as I was in the shadows.
But when I said 'Hello there!'......
Same with this guy...totally ungregarious

Yes, not a good fishing partner. It just might have a slight advantage when it comes to fishing. Great post.
Well, it's about time, my little lazy dumpling cake! Where's the pier, G.?
This was an awesome post, I really enjoyed your story!
Fishing is for the birds.
Love the photos, especially the first.
beautiful pics
Fishing, at any rate fishing without a large net, is always a solitary pursuit. And fishing with a small net is usually a mullet pursuit.
I've seen my chicken (yes the jackals and mongeese have pared down the herd) do the same stand-offish routine. Abandon a 'sure-thing morsel just cuz Johnny's watching all of a sudden. She *will* drink though, in public, which I wouldn't do personally if I had to stick my head up in the air to let each swallow run down my throat.
Greg, I know why this behavior bothers you, and it's ok to feel that way. You graciously allow them to watch you in pursuit of daily bread, but somehow turnabout's not kosher(!)
Thanks for sharing this with the group.
nice pic
Gorgeous!
