@seedsower - I am thrilled that y'all enjoyed the pictures that much. I would have had some more this week, but I left the camera's battery charger at home. Already, I have missed pelican fly-bys, dolphin leaps and a sunset that would have had artists chasing it whilst dragging their easels and pallettes.
Our evergreens often have their top 10-30 % snapped off by a heavy snow and generally keep on going. They get an amusing shape when they survive this a few times. Centuries of selection and suffering the loss when they're more dormant probably helps!
