My neighborhood never looks so good as when I have to leave for work...
The gift shop at Marianna Caverns is made of the local limestone. Ignore
this photo, it has nothing to do with the rest...
....neither does this one

We must have been stirring up some shrimp with our wake, to cause this mass feeding frenzy

We had a hitchhiker for a short time
Look! He's waving at me!

The Pelican, my spirit animal. Originally, my vision ordained the hamster as my spirit animal,
but I won my appeal.

Those passengers don't know what they are missing. Only we get to see the mermaid.

New Orleans, as seen from its easternmost point. 'Night, all.

Fantastic pictures....love the feeding frenzy!
Good picture of the 'hood', too, but if you keep standing in the street like that, you will get run down by one of those maniacal drivers that speed by every couple of minutes!
That feeding frenzy is amazing -- love the pelicans, and the seagulls that are so different from ours! Hope you waved goodbye to the one pelican!
beautiful photos...I love the pelicans. As for the Norwegians and the mermaid...I wouldn't expect anything less.
Love all the bird photos, especially the hitch hiking pelican. Thanks for sharing. Peace
Yes the pelican is much better as your spirit animal although the hamster has much character. My totem is the Opossum but the hawk seems to be appearing as my regular spirit the last few years. These are really great pictures, you have a very interesting workplace.
Hitchcock would have loved the seagull shots.
what he said....
Good stuff, Skipper. I especially enjoyed the gulls-in-the-wake photo.
@joiwinds - @slmret - @dylansmrjones - @shellisland - @Roadkill_Spatula - I took a bunch of photos of the gulls in the wake; in most of them, the gulls blend into the foam. I made film of about 500 gulls riding on our barge, but am having trouble retrieving it. I will post it as soon as I can.
@DistantShipSmoke - I think that working in an office 9-5 would be a death sentence after this job.
Awesome photo's. Especially of the birds. They were very pretty!!!
Really good photos
