Brownian Notions
The stranger turned to me after belching loudly. "Forgive me", he said, "I have the mannerisms of a goat."
"You mean the manners of a goat.", I corrected him with a chuckle.
That's when he head-butted me and tried to eat my tie.

First, my wife buys a persian rug, then last week she brings home a little persian kitty.
What's with her? She knows I prefer a Spartan lifestyle!

Who died, expired, left this mortal coil, met his/her maker, kicked the bucket, croaked, ceased to be, and made you Thesaurus?

A limericku would
sound something like haiku but instead
be sing-song and funny

Touche, cliche, paper-mache, without that little thing over the last 'e', they are all so gauche.

I like these. I wish I could think of something witty to say, but I'm out of wit, levity, repartee.
OMG!! If this ain't a perfect pearl, cultured and cultivated, I never saw one. Just the title alone is 'Jump out of bed to scribble this,"
I completely love it. Too bad a goat ate my "10 ways to overcome jealousy" self-help bible.
jsolberg - Your output of late has been awe-inspiring; I haven't commented much because I am speechless after reading. Besides, you would get tired of tolerating my ceaseless peons of praise, and tell them to move on.
@whyzat - No you're not
witty response
@MelFamy - Well, Einstein's ghost likes us both some, but your title-reference knocked him dead: "Nobody plays dice like Mel!" was the exact quote.
Seriously, this post epitomizes 'sly'. Stallone and Stone are wanna-bes, bless their hearts for even trying.
what's another name for a thesarus, anyway?
@roscoes_farm - ^5! A good question
These brought a big chuckle. Nice way to begin the day. Thank you!
Another piece for my collection...
Have you posted your love poems here? If not, you aught to let folks see your soft, romantic side.....purrr....
@Kellsbella - This is my home, only the most particular of my postings, the glorified comments, fail to make it on xanga. Other than that, my fellow xangans must trudge through my entire range of interests, goals, fears, and hints as to the true nature of that roiling, seething mass of neuroses and obsessions that is my subconscious. It ain't no Woody Allen up in there...well, maybe a little...
@ItsWhatEyeKnow - , meet @Kellsbella - . I think the two of you would get along well.
Nice to meet ya. I'll pop in. Perhaps that isn't the phrasing I should've used....
Brownian motion reminds me of that underage nymphomanic once at a Scout convention. At least that's I called her, and she thought it was funny. Asked me if she gets a Nobel prize for her work. Precocious little dear. Heard she's working at CERN these days. You know, on the Large Hadron )sp?) Collider.
